Hi, I am Sue, I’m passionate about supporting people on their wellness journey, helping them regain and maintain good health through herbs, diet and lifestyle. I love working with the plants, and connecting my clients back to nature. I love the gifts that Gaia gives to us and how they can have such a dramatic, positive effect on our health and well-being. I am a registered Medical Herbalist, DipHerbMed, NZAMH, who has been interested in herbs and natural health for over 25 years.  

I have worked in clinicsin Herbal Dispensary, Pharmacy, and health stores for the last 15 years, gaining a wealth of knowledge and insights, which I now utilize with the clients that I see in my home clinic. Herbal Medicine is the oldest form of medicine, using plants for healing and supporting health across many cultures and over many thousands of years. Medical Herbalists can assist with a wide range of health conditions for all ages, from newborns to the elders in our communities. I have extensive knowledge of the herbs and their effects in and on the body.

I have learned the clinical skills to conduct in depth consultations on clients, which gives the best picture of the client’s general health, and the presenting health complaint. I also have in depth knowledge of diet and nutrition, differential diagnosis, and drug/herb interactions. Each person and his or her health condition is different. With herbs, we are able to formulate protocols and herbal medicines that are tailored for the unique requirements of each individual. Medical Herbalists work a little differently to doctors.

An initial consultation takes about an hour; follow ups, as needed, usually only 30 minutes. I offer some testing services where applicable, including hair testing for food and environmental sensitivities.
